🤔What project would you bring to life here?
How do you remix? Traditions and recreation for who we are today. Beautiful. Vibrant. A Force of Nature. Here is the New Generation. Join us for our first fashion show featuring the kids from Jtown and JBBP!
Final Day! KOHO matsuri HOUSE is a featured program by KOHO SF held during the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival. We provide authentic, traditional Japanese festival attire for all festival participants. Our yukata sets are available for purchase and include creative dressing services on-site.
Visitors can explore our curated yukata collection within a tatami space while learning about the cultural history and techniques of kimono dressing. In addition to authentic styling, the program highlights “modern remix” styles, offering a contemporary take on kimono for a new generation. By participating, guests enjoy a unique cultural connection as they walk the festival grounds, enhancing the event’s vibrant atmosphere. This project proudly bridges the local native Japanese community and Japanese Americans festival-goers to share the timeless art of kimono.
Today at 3pm, the Yukata Remix Fashion Show features JBBP kids in creations that honor tradition while stylizing for self expression! Grab your seat and come see the show!!
Matsuri House continues at 11am at the 59th Annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival! The 3p workshop shares how to wear, fold and store your own Yukata (summer kimono). Mens, Women’s, Kids sizes available. Support KOHO’s fundraiser for BonPOP 2026! Link in our bio for more info!
