"This painting is dedicated to my cat, Boule de Feu (Fireball), silent companion during my long hours of creation. His presence has often been with me during those moments of searching, doubt, and starting over. Through him, I also evoke those black cats that are too often neglected, as if they still carried the weight of ancient superstitions and unfounded fears.
This tribute is addressed to them, but also to all those whom an appearance, a color, or an unjust reputation is enough to exclude. This painting simply attempts to give them back their place, to pay them homage."
