Sheetal Kadia has built an exciting career by following her passion for data and being willing to stretch beyond what she thought she was capable of.
She joined i360, a Koch company, in 2009 as a senior data engineer, combining her background in computer engineering with her interest in data. As she continued to apply her skills where she could create the most value, she also took on new challenges that pushed her beyond her comfort zone — first leading the data engineering team and then stepping into her current role as chief data and information officer.
“I’ve learned that growth often comes from taking on challenges before you feel completely ready.”
Sheetal credits much of her growth to leaders who recognized her potential and encouraged her to take on new challenges. She was also recently recognized as one of Virginia’s Top 50 Women Leaders.
Today, she brings that same mindset to her own team, encouraging others to step into new challenges and grow beyond what feels comfortable.

Waylon Chance started at Flint Hills Resources, a Koch company, as an accounting intern expecting to learn the basics. Instead, he was given opportunities to take on new responsibilities, learn from different teams across the business and see how his work connected to larger goals.
That early exposure helped him better understand where his strengths showed up, and he now carries that perspective into his work as a full-time employee. Today, Waylon is a senior accountant at Flint Hills Resources, continuing to take initiative and solve more complex problems as his role expands.

We celebrated another year of pro bono work at the Koch Pro Bono Awards Dinner on January 28.
In 2025, volunteers including Koch legal professionals, employees and partner firms helped hundreds of people with free legal assistance through initiatives such as driver’s license reinstatement clinics, record expungement clinics and veteran discharge upgrades.

Juan Perez, a retired Koch employee who spent nearly 30 years growing through new roles and new challenges, made a decision decades ago that changed everything.
