Jesus testified about the world’s evil works. The world hated Him. Not ur jelly roll happy go lucky “we’re all right” kinda guy. He testified boldly about the evil in the world, and the damnation that WILL come to it. And we hated Him for it and wanted to kill Him. And then we continued in our tribes, some of you still continue in your tribe, either trying to earn your salvation, or loosely interpreting the word to excuse or lighten your sin under this mystic unbiblical notion of “love”, And yet still, as much as Jesus testifies against you, He still is offering total forgiveness and salvation from your sin. If you haven’t come, you can still come. He wants you. He died and rose so that you could come.

I struggle so hard to believe God has grace for me. I want to do something or become more faithful so I can be sure that I’m of God. But I can’t. Verses like these are helping me get rid of the evil, satanic works-based theology that poisoned my heart somewhere along the way. God will bring me out to the other side. Just being real. Jesus died on the cross for me and took my sins there with Him. Thank you Jesus for your grace.

If you struggle to believe in grace, try to remember: What else are you gonna do? Live perfectly? Any righteousness that comes from us is “as filthy rags”. Righteousness that comes from faith is pleasing to God.
