A warm welcome awaited Koalaa’s founder, Nate Macabuag, when he was recently invited to join the Worshipful Company of Glovers for their Livery Lunch. The Glovers are a long-standing supporter of Project Limitless – an initiative which provides children and young people in the UK, up to the age of 18, with a fully-funded Koalaa prosthetic. Something that can aid independence, equity and inclusion, open up new opportunities, and importantly…support children to have fun! At the event, Nate was delighted to share an update on the impact that the Glovers’ generous support of the project has had – and continues to have – for young people with limb differences. A great moment with @sport_for_all_uk_foundation , we joined week 6 of the Get Into Golf sessions to see how the group is progressing with the new EDGA tool. It’s been fantastic to see the kids building confidence on the course and getting hands-on experience with golf through Koalaa. Moments like these highlight the importance of accessible sport and creating opportunities for everyone to take part, learn, and enjoy the game. We’re excited to be attending the LimbPower Junior Games this Saturday 💜🐨 With loads of different sports to try, it’s a fantastic opportunity for young people to get active, build confidence, and have fun. Koalaa will be there supporting the cycling sessions, and thanks to funding from LimbPower, children interested in cycling can be fitted with a sleeve and Sarah tool to take away on the day! A special few days at Hands To Love 💜 We had the opportunity to visit @handstoloveofficial for the first time, meeting lots of new people and spending time together through sports, activities, and shared moments of confidence and connection. It was an incredible experience getting to know the community and being part of such a positive and supportive environment. Here’s a look back at one of our favorite moments: 1) We fitted Reese with her first CLM, and she took it home and immediately rode her bike 2) A special moment with Esme, who carried out and supported the CLM fitting 3) Straight after fitting, Reese tested out the CLM and got hands-on with it We’re grateful to have been part of Hands To Love and to share in experiences that build confidence, independence, and connection.
