Since I’m at weddings almost every other weekend, I’ve picked up a few things along the way. So here are 5 tips I’ve found super useful to help you actually ENJOY your big day without feeling like you “missed out” on your own wedding! 1. Murphy's Law - always embrace the unexpected. The stories you’ll remember about years later are rarely about how smooth everything went - they’re usually about the unplanned, spontaneous moments that really made the day. 2. Probably the most important task of the day - EAT. And I can't emphasise enough as I’ve seen brides running low on glucose before!  Make sure to set aside some buffer time to grab a bite (even if the adrenaline’s high or you have no appetite). You wouldn’t want to faint halfway through your big day! 3. Don’t stress if things run a little behind schedule. There were cases where activities overran and precious moments (e.g. private time with parents & family) had to be rushed just to stay on track. Yes, timelines matter but not at the cost of these once-in-a-lifetime moments. 🥺 Guests can wait; the moments won’t.  4. The day will pass in a blur. Pause whenever you can. Breathe, look around, and let yourself feel everything. These are the moments I'm very sure you will remember for life.  5. Make time for just the two of you - a quiet moment or a heartfelt exchange. It’s easy to get caught up entertaining everyone and making sure things run smoothly but at the heart of it all it’s your day, celebrating your union.  Bonus: Trust the process and your vendors. You’ve spent months planning. Now, it’s time to let go and simply enjoy the ride. ❤️

Off to a good start for having this shot featured on Rangefinder Photo of the Week and I just wanted to make a post to document it. Heheh. This shot wasn't totally an intentional one - it was born out of spontaneity (link in bio). Swipe to also see the full landscape shot. Well, and perhaps taking the opportunity to share some frames of the second location that we went to! Bouquet: @5amflowers Destination pre-wedding (Switzerland) by @knottiesframe

I've always imagined about creating a shot like this ever since I started photography. And to see it materialise right in front of my eyes was a dream-come-true moment. Thankful for the opportunity to work on this project. 💕 . It was honestly so easy to shoot these two. We were just out there having our own fun - running around the lawn beside Min Jiang under the very unforgiving 🌞. It's hard to describe but their vows and speeches carried so much strength and emotion. I remember trying very hard to hold back my own tears while shooting. 😅 Especially the appreciation speeches which had everyone crying and laughing at the exact same time. The schedule was absolutely tight that evening and things were moving fast. But W & H made it look effortless and totally pulled off a quiet luxury vibe at the resort. They kept the celebration simple and nothing over the top. A small circle of family and friends is all they needed to witness their deeply personal solemnisation. And of course, the kahoot - cos what’s a wedding without a little chaos? 🤭 It sure turned out to be one of the loudest, happiest parts of the evening! Finally ticked the 3rd country in Central Asia - Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 It was many years back when me and Zack saw the Uzbekistan Airlines banner advertisement that we had thoughts of exploring this country. Yes, they used to fly direct to SG. Due to a mix of reasons (and of course, thanks to covid 😅), this trip got pushed all the way till this year. Since then, we could only marvel at those iconic blue-tiled architecture through pictures. So it felt pretty surreal to finally step foot here and see these towering buildings right in front of us. 👀 What’s even more mind-blowing is that these cities were once key stops along the Silk Road. These were thriving crossroads where traders, cultures and ideas from East and West met and shaped history. Impressive, fascinating and literally jaw-dropping.

When A first reached out, I was honestly really looking forward to this one. I’ve always had a soft spot for intimate celebrations like these.  Tucked away at the villas in Raffles Sentosa, the setting felt both secluded and quietly comforting. With only their closest family & friends present, it gave so much space for the vows to just be raw and real.  And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without our very important ring bearers! 🐶💍 MUA: @imelda_autelier @autelier_makeup Florals: @propsandpetals Venue: @raffles_sentosa Wedding Photography by @knottiesframe

E & Q’s wedding was one of those where, as the day passed, you begin to realise just how much thought and meaning went into the planning. They had a large group of guests but you also notice how intentional they were with their time in making the effort to mingle with almost everyone. I later found out that their wedding helper was actually keeping track of their time with each group of guests, just so it gave them enough space to be present with all the guests. The wedding cake was a huge part. Q lovesss cakes and there couldn’t have been a more special person to bake it than her pâtisserie chef sister. In fact, all the desserts at the lunch reception were done by her too. 🥹 And I have to say, they were absolutely delicious. Another thoughtful touch was the super cute artwork of the two of them, illustrated by E. You could spot it across the wedding favours, each one lovingly packed by the couple and their family. It’s clear that E & Q truly value the relationships around them - the kind of people you know you’d want to keep in your life. It was such an honour to be part of your wedding journey. Part two: After all the formalities of the day slowly faded, the night began to take on a life of its own. The warm, elegant tones of the banquet hall gave way to an explosion of colours - lights shifting, music pulsing, energy building and the dance floor calling. At the front, the DJ was setting the mood, track by track, drawing everyone in. And then, almost like clockwork, the crowd grew. Young and old all coming together, moving to songs everyone somehow knew by heart. That’s when the real magic happened. No more timelines, no more structure - just a room full of people enjoying the night as it was. And somewhere in between capturing it all, I found myself soaking it in too. 🥹 Also featured on @singaporebrides . Link in bio. So we heard that the sakura season is back at Gardens by the Bay and it instantly brings me back to this shoot with I & C! Visiting the sakura display has been their yearly tradition and last year they kept it going by doing their pre-wedding shoot here. The display was just as stunning as ever. 🥹 Stepping into the Flower Dome felt like we were being transported into a little sakura world, where almost every corner made for the perfect photo. I still remember us running through the row of cherry blossoms, exploring every part of the display and just having the best time together. Thank you both for such a wonderful day!! ❤️ MUA: @lingspalette Gown: @gentleinwhite Bouquet: @lilasblooms Venue: @gardensbythebay Pre-wedding Photography by @knottiesframe
