We showcased a real time training session at this year’s Open House with this new team being trained by @jamesrdenny .
Showing the process of how we train the horses and put the team together from the start with the help of @chrystalparker_
This was only the teams 5th time working together with the two bays at the front Bro and Rio completely new to Roman riding and working together as a pair and for Rio his first time seeing an audience and hearing a PA system! Luckily they had Roman riding pros Lady and Chief behind giving James a solid base to stand on! I think you can agree they all did brilliantly!
What a great day we had for our annual Open House yesterday!
It was wonderful to have so many people join us to learn about all that we do at KOME, an insight into the training of our horses and some demos from the team as well!
Jousting, Horse Archery, Trick Riding, Liberty, Hungarian Poste, Side Saddle and a musical ride from our KOME Equitation membership - the day really did have it all!!!
Today we are back out on the road travelling down to @hedinghamcastle for their Easter Joust to kickoff the show season!

This month we are going a shoutout to our newest team member who has taken to life at KOME like an absolute natural!
Name - The Barcode Bandit aka Barky
Age - 8
Breed - Chapman’s Plains Zebra
Height - 14.3
Favourite treat - carrots
Barky has been an incredible addition to the KOME team so such a great job in his training this winter. He is now ready for the start of show season and we can’t wait for you all to meet him out and about over the summer!
He has really taken to the jousting and is proving himself to be great fo trick riding too! A true all-rounder!
