Happy Monday! As of last week, Kurt is the sole owner of Knack Factory! In an absolutely lovely coincidence, this was made official with Alex selling his stake to Kurt on KF's 10th anniversary week. This is an extremely exciting development for Knack Factory. Kurt has gone—over the past decade—from being a quiet part time founder to become our full time leader. He has been largely responsible for its growth over the past few years, and for honing and developing its reputation as a sophisticated commercial production company.
Kurt will be accompanied in management by Thomas Starkey, who has been working with us since before we officially incorporated over 10 years ago. Derek Brigham joined us in the capacity of full time post production. Mike Novelli and Kristan Vermeulen will continue to work with us closely in the capacity of producer and project manager respectively, and our family of collaborators and contractors is wonderful and ever-growing.
We are incredibly excited about this development. Alex will still be involved with the company in a support capacity, though will be largely focusing on endeavors in podcasting and talent management. Also, as he recently said to a client and friend, “I am going to focus on being an arty weirdo for a little while and see what happens.”
Thank you so much for everything. Thank you to everybody who has helped us to get to this place. We are incredibly grateful and we are excited for this moment and about the future.
