Helga Elsner Torres (Lima) is a visual artist whose work moves between contemporary art, research, and socially engaged collaboration.
Trained in Peru and Berlin, she has exhibited in Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Austria, Peru, and the U.S. Her practice explores memory, postcolonial power, migration, and spiritual visual traditions, using archives, photos, maps, and objects to create paintings, videos, performances, and collages.
She has received several grants, including a 2022 research fellowship from the Berlin Senate, and was an artist-in-residence at FAAP São Paulo in 2024.
