Here's a little bts reel of the conservation and bookbinding studio move at the end of last month.
Thank you to my husband and friends who helped, thanks to @createspaceldn for the memories and @42gorststudios for the new beginnings!
Much more room in the new studio to run workshops so watch this space for announcements!

I'm pleased to officially announce the address of the new studio!
You can now find K. Morley Conservation and Bookbinding at:
Studio 24
Gorst Road Studios
42 Gorst Road

All other contact information remains the same. Visitors always welcome by appointment!
I'm feeling a bit sad because it's the end of an era, but also excited for the start of a new chapter!
Carlos and everyone I have met @42gorststudios have been really welcoming and kind. I'm delighted to join the community and feeling really inspired!
Since February this year I've been working on a big project behind the scenes! I'm very excited to be able to announce that I am moving to a new studio!
Thank you so much to @createspaceldn and all the team, past and present, for giving me a home and supporting me when K. Morley Conservation and Bookbinding was just a little seed of an idea. I've had a good time in my little space and I'm sad to leave; I've met some amazingly talented, inspiring people and made some wonderful friends during my time here.
Much love and thanks to everyone who popped by for my farewell drinks reception in Hammersmith the other week. It was great to raise a glass to the end of a chapter and the start of the next one, and I really enjoyed celebrating with you!
I'm really looking forward to sharing more details and photos of the new space when I've got everything sorted at the other end!
(Much appreciation to @helga.stentzel for helping me recreate my photo from my "moving in" Instagram post in 2024 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️)

I'm doing my best to wrap up unfinished projects at the moment, so here are two cute A7 single section marbled notebooks I completed last week 📚

Hello everybody, happy Saturday!
Please enjoy this montage of photos from my week! I'm working on a summer collection of notebook designs in the studio, and on building the e-shop for my website.
Soon I will finally be sharing one of the huge bits of news I'm really excited about (still not from the museum yet, sadly) and looking forward to taking you all on the journey!
(PS Thanks to Arthur @greens_books for the litho stone and some other equipment I purchased recently - I really enjoyed meeting you and your crew and seeing your space! Thanks for the chats and the tea 🙂📚❤️)

Hello everybody! Here is a little March round-up!
My husband had a few weeks off work so we went travelling to see friends, on a holiday staying at our favourite hotel in Bruges, and a road trip to Wales to collect some studio equipment. We also visited my mentor from when I was a baby conservator training at Hertfordshire Archives & Local Studies Library (tried not to think about that being more than 16 years ago because we all felt old lol!). On the drive home we stopped for lunch at Hereford Cathedral because I was itching to see the Chained Library, and it absolutely did not disappoint!
I am planning out my A5 single section notebook for beginners bookbinding workshops to start in May.
If you're interested in taking part watch this space for more details, DM me or message me through my website contact form (found on the linkt.ree in bio). The book you can make (choose your own print and material colours!) is shown in the reel.
I've mainly been posting IG stories this month because things have been so busy. I can share much more from the studio next month and I promise I will be letting you all in on something exciting*!
*Sadly not the details of the museum project you may have been hoping for - still got to let their process do its thing and wait until they publicise it.
Hello everyone! I've had such a busy February with lots of stuff going on behind the scenes that I can't share yet, so please enjoy these highlights from the last month!
One thing that I'm excited about is I got a new phone that has a better camera! I'm having fun experimenting with it so far (you can see Alfie the cat very graciously taking part in a photo shoot) and looking forward to making better quality content!
Hello everyone! 😊 Here is the finished item teased in my last post using the piece of red leather.
My client requested a mini-ledger with leather thong scaled up to A6, customised in bright red as a gift for their mother.
They took it away this week and I was delighted with how it came out and how happy my client was!
If you'd like to talk about customisation options for a stationery binding as a gift to yourself or someone else, you can direct message me, email on [email protected] or get in touch through my contact form on my website (linkt.ree in bio) for a chat with no obligation! 📚 💙 ♥️

Hello everyone! The start of the year has been so busy with other projects, I've not had much time for making but I did manage to get to the studio this week! 🥳🥳 This beautiful red leather is an offcut from @shepherdslondon and I was so pleased to be able to get a good match for the colour my client wanted!
Thank you to my (plant) colleagues for being so hardy and understanding and not dying over the Christmas break, especially considering the lack of heating in the space 😍😍😍 Thanks to @elissa_adriana for all the cuttings and the lovely crocheted sunflower coasters!
It can get a bit lonely working by yourself in a space, do you have any "colleagues" in your workshop or on your desk that keep you going? ❤️❤️
Hello everyone! I thought I'd do a January round-up reel because I've not posted properly on here for a little bit.
Some of you may have noticed on my stories that I've got a project on that I can't talk too much about on here. Admittedly that's not great content so here's what I *can* share!
I'm currently doing some consulting on a potential archive acquisition for a popular museum (the photos and clips might give you a clue, can you guess which one?!).
My work will help the museum assess and decide whether they wish to acquire none, some, or all of this material for their permanent collections.
It is an absolute privilege to be approached by the institution and to get to work on this particular collection which is truly iconic in every single way (absolutely *busting* to tell you what it is but I'm not legally allowed to yet).
A lot of archive and collections work in archives and museums, goes on quietly behind the scenes and deserves talking about a lot more - I can't wait to share more when I'm given the nod!
I haven't had much making time in the studio this month but I'm doing a lot of ideas-work and planning behind the scenes. I plan to launch my bookbinding workshops around April, so watch this space for more info! 📚📚📚

Hello 2026!
Happy New Year everyone 😊 Here's some pictures from a few frosty walks I've taken over the last few days.
It was lovely to walk with my husband down the Kew-Richmond Thames path after it being out of commission for so long.
I hope you're all keeping warm and keeping all the seasonal lurgies at bay (our house wasn't so successful at the latter over Christmas so it was all very low-key this year)!
