Excited to share my most recent ring and one of the most involved I’ve worked on to date! I really tried to push outta my comfort zone on lots of the techniques involved. Gotta give a huge shout out and thank you to all my instructors over the past few years who made this possible. Especially @alexandreschool@jasonfava and @katewolftools for the skills from classes I directly incorporated in this piece. I started to carve the wax for the trillion halo with guidance from Kate at my course with her in October. Then brought it home, refined, finished and had it cast in 18k yellow gold. When I got the casting back I knew I wanted to do something with it that really tested my setting skills. So I decided to do some side by side pavê that I learned with Alexander and Jason around the halo. This style of setting has little to no tolerance for error and one wrong mistake would sacrifice the whole project. But it came together very smoothly for me and I couldn’t be happier with the final result. Went back to revisit this project from @master_engraver sculpted scrolls class @grstools . Wanted to try and put a few twists of my own on it so I did half hammered texture on the one side like he taught us, and the other half high polished scrolls. As well as a boarder of 100 1mm castell set stones. Really happy with the way it came together. I’m excited to share with everyone that I will be moving to Kansas in a couple short weeks to start teaching full time @grstools . Im so grateful for this opportunity because I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today without Grs and their incredible facility. From the second I stepped through their doors for the first time, they made me feel like family and inspired me in ways I never thought possible. As time progressed on and I was fortunate enough to train under all the incredible instructors and masters of the industry, I always dreamed of being able to continue to share the knowledge and one day teach myself. Now as I reflect back through the years all I can think about is how much of a full circle moment this is. And it’s physical proof of how hard work and dedication will always pay off no matter what you’re pushing towards. I can’t wait to make this dream a reality, and I’m so excited to see what the future holds. Jewelry has become such a huge part of my life, and I couldn’t imagine it any other way at this point. Feeling extremely grateful as I bring my first week of teaching here at the GRS training center to a close. This is something I always knew I wanted to do since the very beginning, being inspired so much by all my instructors along the way. I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am today without this place. I wanted to say thanks to all my teachers who played such a huge roll for me coming up in this industry. This is a prime example that if you put in the hard work and dedication you can do absolutely anything you put your mind to! I can’t wait to see where this wild ride we call life takes me next! To start 2025 off right I’ll share one of my favorites from last year. This halo band features a Maine tourmaline crystal dug by my amazing clients, surrounded by precision cut natural diamonds. It’s packed with detail from top to bottom showcasing some of my favorite techniques like side by side pavê, bright cut engraving and fishtail setting all done in platinum. This is the other wedding band to the set. This shadow band features beautiful Colombian emeralds accented by diamonds in 14k yellow gold. It is fully engraved and was hand fabricated from a molten puddle of gold.
