31st October 2015 we rigged our first highline together. We met at a gathering in Sokoliki, Poland. With Stephan and Holger, and no rigging experience, we hung 36 meters long "Wide Space". It's probably our first photo together (Kasia hanging on the line under the rest of the team). Since then we rigged a lot of different lines, many of them just two of us. 'Fluch der Karibik' 230/42 m After helping build Germany’s longest highline in 2023 and 2024, rigging the longest highline in Nepal in 2025, and also the highest highline in Nepal, we got the opportunity to create something completely different: the longest indoor highline (230 m) inside Tropical Islands together with Slackline Berlin e.V. and Slackline Brandenburg e.V.. Only 19 km air distance from our homespot, but definitely one of the most challenging projects we’ve ever worked on. Months of planning and countless online meetings went into this project. Rigging inside the tropical dome came with a completely different set of challenges: people everywhere, dense vegetation, complex infrastructure, heat, and constant humidity. The tropical temperatures didn’t just make the rigging harder, they made walking the line a serious challenge too. And because there’s no wind inside the world’s largest free-standing hall, the line behaved completely differently than expected. We ended up rebuilding it twice to make it more walkable. In the end, it was all about teamwork. Huge respect to everyone involved, especially the new record holders. Highline "Me very happy" At the altitude of 4000 m it was noticeable, how the breath was changing. Walking slow and concentrated, the 155 meter long line felt even longer. After every leash fall was a bigger break than usual. But finally we both managed to send it. We started rigging in the snow, then rain came. We hung the line loop to loop first. One session by Dylan. It was too loose and too wet, both to change the rig and to walk. We came back another day that supposed to be very rainy. But it was better than expected. We started slacklining. The line was hanging for a couple more days and all our team of around 10 people could try multiple times. Sometimes in the full sun and blue sky. Sometimes in the cloud without seeing the other end. The landscape was changing rapidly. In each of its forms, it was beautiful.
