The very stunning Acropolis Museum in Athens features architecture that allows looking up and down from many levels …. Not just of the art but the performance of the visitors.

🌊 Let’s Organise Your Leisure (LOYL) is making a splash at Cairns Festival! Led by Queensland artist Kathy Mackey and her energetic Squad. “I’m thrilled to be presenting Let’s Organise Your Leisure in a man-made lagoon so close to the natural shoreline,” says Kathy. “It really explores the liminal spaces and places of leisure.” LOYL is a gentle group class meets playful public artwork, with floating sculptures made from pool noodles and a whole lot of colour. 🎨🧘‍♀️ “This project began with a casual observation of fit, older folk doing Aqua Zumba, there are so many ways to consume art, but fewer to make it—especially for over 50s. LOYL hopes to change that.” 🌟 FLOAT-OFF FINALE 📅 Sunday 31 August 🕙 10:00am – 12 noon 📍 Cairns Esplanade Lagoon (Kookaburra BBQ Area) 🎟 FREE – Register via link in bio Wear your brightest activewear or togs and join the fun as we float, move, and co-create in a celebration of leisure, ageing, and art. 📸 Please note: photography will take place during the event. 📷 Image Credit: Mark Zanotto, Perspective Image Solutions #LOYL #CairnsFestival2025 #KathyMackey #CreativeAgeing
