I just found this in some old stuff. I did a lot of press tours early in my career but this day was one of the best.We started our day at the Four seasons and laughing about having similar looks big hair and bodies lol .. she said and I quote( I would love to eat FCKN ham and cheese everyday but I can’t.)She ordered me plain oatmeal with a banana and said try it. To this day it’s my go to breakfast. As we rode from station to station she told me that she wasn’t being pompous but that I should watch the sopranos because it was really good. I had not seen it yet. She also told me that James Gandolfini was one of the nicest men she had ever met and he furnished her entire new house!! FYI. I would NEVER ask for an autograph especially working but she wanted me to have that! I’m humbled by my experiences at work and I will never take it for granted!#hmua#sopranos#ilovemyjob
I’m at a loss for words. I didn’t expect this movie to be soooooo good. If you grew up with the Jackson’s you are going be blown away. Colman Domingo and Jaafar Jackson as Joe and Michael were ASTOUNDING! My dad took me to meet the Jackson 5 at the Marriott on CityLine Ave when I was 7 or 8ish and got me tickets for every show. GO SEE THE MOVIE
This is my Aunt Dolores in 1974 she made one of the hardest decisions of her life. She packed up her children,drove across the country to California,and left me crying on the sidewalk. I didn’t understand it then but she was chasing a dream that would change everything. She went on to become the first black female talent manager in television and film. Today she has a star on the Walk of fame in Palm Springs.She is the reason I fell in love with this industry. The first sets I ever stepped onto were Happy Days, One Day at a time and Good times. She taught me how to give a firm handshake at 12 and how to stand tall. Well today this BOSS BISH turns 90! And I want to say I love you so much.
