One of our missions at Lumi Accents is to give back to the community. Today we were part of the CMTA Derby fundraising event where funds go toward finding a cure for CMT. Our goal was to fill the room, get as many donations as possible, and we worked with vendors that generously donated their resources. With everyone that came together, we raised roughly around $80,000! We will also add a link to our stories if you feel inclined to donate as well. Whenever community comes together, we’re able to create a large impact! In true Kentucky fashion, we had bourbon tastings, bottle your own bourbon experience, mint juleps, a variety of Derby themed food, live music, and many more special touches. Saturday night, my brother gave us all a moment we’ll never forget. After months of keeping a beautiful secret, he asked his girlfriend to be his wife and she said yes! We pulled off the most incredible surprise at what was supposed to be a birthday dinner for my Mom. The venue was pure magic, the photographer captured every tear, and the event planners and decorators turned dreams into reality. Here’s to a lifetime of love and happiness!
