Reminiscing. Here are a few projects I had saved on my phone from alternative processes of photography I took w/ peven. A few solarizations & cyanotypes. I hope to continue my craft in alt processes in the future.
I am very honored to have a piece featured in ‘A Retrospective’ alongside of some other students who had studied under peven as well. From pulling all nighters working down in the small cramped basement darkroom to seeing his vision for a new studio space come to life; I learned a lot from him over the years. I fell in love with alternative processes of photography, learned that he loved dogs, BUT he did not like angled shots. LOL We gave each other grief at times but I’ve grown into a better photographer because of it. Still hear him in my head: “POV: Point of View”

Side story to the sink: peven told me he was keeping one of my prints in our very last critique together so not wanting to give up any work I gave him the one I liked the least 😂 & that’s the one you see here today!
