Sandpit recently headed back out to the incredible Nilpena Ediacara National Park, updating our immersive fossil bed experience with a new Welcome to Country animation narrated by Beverley Patterson and Arthur Coulthard, and created in collaboration with @chrisedser , @klangstudios , and the projection mapping skills of @polymorphic.art
The new element tells the Adnyamathanha dreaming story of the Idhi (Zebra Finch) – the origin of the word "Ediacara" – and sits alongside our original project: a photo-realistic, projection-mapped animation that brings the 550-million-year-old Ediacara Biota back to life on a nine metre fossil bed.
It’s been such a privilege to keep evolving this special project. We can't wait for more people to experience this new element!

We are so proud of Klang's own @brendanwoithe who created the score for River Connections - an immersive experience/film that submerges the audience in First Peoples’ perspectives of the Australian landscape and its psyche. The piece was made for @museumsvictoria through a wonderful collaboration with @grumpysailor_ and @pixelninja.design and Indigenous elders from the Murray River.
