Private workshop with three generations of the women in my family. I read somewhere that creative sensory rituals can be healing for those living with dementia and I think I saw that truth unfold in real time. It’s been a while since I touched flowers myself and somehow in their quiet beauty we all found a small kind of peace.
As you all must know by now, I can’t resist a little drama. Naturally I had to build a moss table sculpture for my own farewell party with @chris.jae.lee last weekend. By the end I was drenched, my top had gone see-through, I nearly fainted twice, pulled in a few assistants, ran off to a shoot, and still managed to pack moving boxes before the night was over.
Somehow she still turned out cute. Feeling proud, slightly delirious, and maybe just a tiny bit in love with myself. More photos once I recover.
Was just trying to deliver flowers and this diva somehow ended up seducing the entire elevator.
I made this birthday arrangement for a new friend, a summer baby who reminds me of a basket of strawberries left out in the sun: warm, sweet, just the right kind of indulgent.
Of course she needed lilies, some flirty orchids, and a pair of pearl adorned anthuriums tied with silk ribbon. I tucked them all into a blue vase I picked up from an old lady’s estate sale a few days ago.
Anyways, hope the 15th floor enjoys the drama 💋
