KK Conservation is now officially recognised on the Red List of Endangered Crafts for Composition Picture Frame Making. @heritagecrafts
Composition frame making is a highly specialised traditional craft, practised today by only a small number of makers in the UK.
I am proud, through my work at KK Conservation, to contribute to preserving and continuing this important heritage skill.

I never thought that this would happen. I have always loved ink graphics. I discovered this medium at university in Ukraine and became so obsessed with it that even my diploma work was an ink illustration for a book.
Last summer, I wanted to return to ink painting again. For me, this technique has a philosophical core. I bought the best ink I could find and created a series of illustrations with people and trees.
I had never exhibited my ink work before. This story reveals the people who helped me and made my dream real: Karma Bank with Latifah. We had an amazing exhibition at the end of 2025, where, for the first time, I had the chance to exhibit these works.
It was very emotional for me. It wasn’t my first exhibition, but it was different. My close friend and supporter bought one of my ink graphics, and it was really special for me to know that the artwork will live among other amazing works and as a long memory of our friendship.
At this point, I want to talk about a very special team that made my work look more professional. KK Conservation did the framing for these works. I was very surprised to know that such professional framing would be made. Thank you, Lukasz, for your professionalism and engagement. I absolutely love the materials and the colour palette.
I thank all the people who were part of this, and I hope for future collaborations and friendship.

It was a true privilege to welcome you and to share the occasion in such distinguished company.
To speak about the stories and intentions behind my most recent collection of etchings, in an atmosphere marked by generosity and receptive enthusiasm, was both humbling and deeply rewarding. It was especially a joy to receive Andrew and his dear Mother from our chosen charity Karmabank, whose presence added greatly to the evening.
In fact, all of your company lent the occasion its grace, and your engagement gave it meaning. Please accept my heartfelt gratitude to you for your support, purchasing the works and for contributing so richly to such a memorable evening.

Today I met Lukasz in his studio in Brent Cross, London. He’s a man of many talents: he’s an art conservator, a gilder, and a framer, and he opened @goldensilkgallery just a week ago. I felt very privileged to see this carefully curated space.
Lukasz visited Uzbekistan two years ago. He loved the monuments and the applied arts and met many artists. He showed me two of the blue and white tiles he bought during his trip. They’re one of things which has inspired the name of the gallery and the kind of exhibitions and events he wants to host there.
If you’re London-based and love looking at art — or you need his specialist art restoration and framing skills — do pay Lukasz a visit.
The Golden Silk Gallery — renewing this space was hard work, but definitely worth it.

For a long time I searched for a framer who still carried the rare, traditional, hand-finished skills I value so deeply. I had entrusted my work to the Royal Academy’s framer for years, but when they closed during Covid, I found myself at a loss, until I discovered @kk_conservation
When we met, it was instantly clear that we shared the same philosophy: a respect for craftsmanship, an understanding of materials, and a belief that framing is not decoration but an extension of the artwork itself. From that meeting grew a creative partnership…one rooted in skill, patience, and a love of the handmade.
The result is A Thousand Winds, unveiled in the newly launched @goldensilkgallery
