Today we celebrate our first Membership Monday with the National Black Musicians Coalition. 🎶 Meet Kat Dyson of Los Angeles, a Grammy nominated singer songwriter, producer, publisher, film composer, music director, voiceover actor, mentor, and world class touring and studio guitarist with more than 30 years in the music industry. Throughout her career, Kat has worked with legendary artists including Cyndi Lauper and Prince, two icons who deeply respected one another and left a lasting mark on her musical journey. Kat describes her work in one word: Evolving. For Kat, ownership and empowerment go hand in hand. Owning and controlling your intellectual property is the path to economic empowerment and long term sustainability for artists. She also reminds us that musicians carry a deeper purpose.
