The merch I see most often in the wild… where it all started for me… @surfinspoon !
It’s crazy how often I see people wearing Surfin Spoon merch I designed. And you know, sometimes I want to go up to them and say, “yo, I made that shirt.” But I never do because that would be weird… I just say “nice shirt” and walk away all smug. It makes me feel like an undercover celebrity.
Anyway, I love Surfin Spoon, I love the Hines’ and I love getting to do projects like this! Got a project you want to work on? Your brand looking to level up its merch? Let’s work together!

Here’s my pitch for the Virginia Beach city logo.
Recently, Virginia Beach city (@cityofvabeach ) introduced a new logo, and I’m sorry to say, it’s pretty bad (see last slide). It’s boring and poorly represents the wonderful people of this city. And I hate it.
It’s easy to critique though, and far more difficult to create something in its place. My idea was to have a logo that was simple, clever, and playful, but still distinguished enough to represent the entirety of the city government. It’s a tough challenge to pull off, but I really think this mark does the job.
This logo feels like something that really represents the city and people of Virginia Beach. And, at the end of the day, it’s just fun! I want a sticker with that on my car and my laptop and just everywhere.
Let me know what you think!
As well as being one of my closest friends and #1 co-conspirator, @williamsumnerphoto happens to be the best photographer I know.
We spent months perfecting this set of logos and I can truly say I’ve never been more proud of a logo. It’s a gift to design something that represents someone so personally, and I’m thankful William trusted me throughout the process.
The logo is now live on his site, so go check that out and see more of his fantastic photo work.
If you are looking for a beautiful piece like this to represent you or your company, let’s work together! I’m now taking new clients for 2023 🤩🥳 ! Click the link in my bio to get in contact.

As with most of my branding projects, we went through three main rounds of design for @thedencoffeeco - after an intro and moodboarding session, I presented @mikeleechphoto with a handful of potential directions. Ultimately I love where we landed (last slide) but we had strong options from the jump!
The surfing lion was a bit different at first too, but after two more rounds of iterations, I think we really nailed it. Let me know what you think 🦁
So excited to finally share this work for @mikeleechphoto and the new coffee shop he’s opening in Nags Head, @thedencoffeeco !
I’ve known Mike for years and he’s the best of the best. So grateful he asked me to work on this project, and it was a joy from start to finish. More behind the scenes stuff from the project coming soon, but for now enjoy the main mark for the spot!
Can’t wait to see it all over Nags Head… because knowing Mike, this place is gonna blow up.
Unused concepts from an amazing rental property in Costa Rica with @dooley_creative_co
This was such a fun project to work on, and the coolest part was getting to visit the property in CR. Absolutely mind blowing place.
Thanks again to @dooley_creative_co for bringing me on for this!
I love being on retainer remotely with @oneharbor !
I’m thankful for the beautiful design work we’ve been able to do together and the beautiful work they’re doing to love Eastern North Carolina.
Stoked to be part of this team!
Recently I've been working with the team at @dooley_creative_co on a handful of really fun branding projects.
Here are a few outtakes from a recent project for a van tour company in the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park. Which is your fave?
Thankful to be brought on for projects like these! If you're looking to build out your brand, hit me up and let's make something beautiful.
Not every day you get to see one of your logos in STAINED GLASS! As a huge thank you to @hannahbyrddesigns for letting me do their rebrand in the Fall, I had a custom stained glass piece made. It took a few months to deliver, but it was worth the wait! #cool
Can’t believe it’s 2026 🤯 what a great year! Definitely hit my record for most logos created in a year. 🧑🏻🍳🖌️🖼️<<< me cooking. Here’s one of my faves that I actually did for my brother, for the one and only @bennypapa_ and his gutter cleaning company. Love this little vintage-looking wordmark. Also got to make a website, and some signage and merch for him (shown are mockups)!
Been off the grid a bit doing work for @dooley_creative_co . Such a great team over there! Can’t wait for what’s in store this year, and already got some amazing projects lined up. Let’s connect if you’re looking to build a killer brand identity in 2026 🤪
When I’m working on a logo, I typically go through A LOT of iterations 🖼️ before landing on the final.
For this project especially, we tried a ton of ideas… spoiler: none of these logos for this Virginia-based film company 🎥 made it past our 2nd Round of ideas 🫨. And you should’ve seen the number of logos we went through 1st Round! I think we hit a new record 🏆
BUT honestly, my goal is to make a logo that you absolutely LOVE, and I never want to stop short of that if I can help it. I’m thankful that for this client, who happened to be a close friend, we eventually found that perfect logo that he really loves. More on the final version soon!
Which is your fave? Let me know below. And hit me up if you’re looking for a rebrand for your next project!
