NCWADI YENTSHUMAYELI 2:22-23 SAVE THE DATE!!! we constantly ask what is of this much black death: blacks killing blacks dying. i am of very mixed emotions to announce that at last, this body of work, which i had been hoarding for years, seriously years because i want it to just be mine and mine only but apparently music must be given to the people to have a hear and a say and eventually - as we hope - be healed. i selfishly wanted the healing to belong to me only kwathi kanti hayi ayoyam ndimnye, yeyehlabathi. we are approaching the 1st of april and this tape will finally be yours and yours to love and for me to love to watch you love and be loved by it. i thank all the patiences. i thank all the contributions from all artists involved. i learnt much. i am to learn more. i am a greatful black as things stand. i have had a lot of inspirations and influences. i hope that at some points this body of work contributes to the ever constant struggle to bring about dignity to the blackness of our bodies. bismillah! in the end, “one must imagine sisyphus happy.”

joburg, we’re outside this weekend. first we spend time with some young thinkers at the art for memory workshop with high school learners from Soweto later in the evening we gather again for cultures in resistance - mayday at The Forge. come through. we’ll talk. we’ll listen. we’ll make a little noise together.
