Just leaving this here to mark two MASSIVE milestones in the Life of Kip… today he’s FINALLY taller than his Papa, and he’s just got into The Brit School, Kip that is, not Papa. We are beyond thrilled for both these achievements. Soar my boy, reach for the stars, we are SO proud of you ❤️
For a they/them who feels SOOOOO smug if they’re in bed before 10pm, this week is a marathon. THREE events in a row. RTS, done… the jury we judged brought the entire room to their feet and then silence fell as we heard from of the Mothers, bravery and resilience, palatable. Television, at its best, I am so proud to be part of that force for good. Yes I am in my shitty hotel room eating KFC, so for anyone thinking TV is glamorous… think again. It’s all about the protein as tomorrow, same venue, same Tux, and a room FULL of ‘others’ MY people… bring on the British Diversity Awards…. ❤️💪🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Sadly, for some of us, DEI so often stands for Deminishing Equality Innit… so whilst I was unable to attend the amazing Involve GaIa, I am so delighted to be able to represent our community, and be included alongside this STELLAR gang of changemakers… if only in the brochure.
Thank you Involve for including me, visibility is EVERYTHING and next year, if you’ll have me, I’ll be there with bloody bells on… 💪🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈❤️
When you can no longer afford couples ADHD therapy, but fortunately, your therapist pops up on your tellybox so now we can get some helpful tips Emma and not have to remortgage! #adhd #drivingwifemad #iwillputmystuffaway
Happy IWD to all the INCREDIBLE women who have been so utterly instrumental in every single facet of my life. The amazing female bosses who’ve inspired me and fuelled my passion for the job I love. The friends who are always there, even when I am rubbish at calling them back or having a better work life balance so I can actually see them! My Mum and my little sister who were everything to me growing up as it was so very often just the three of us when Dad was at sea. The women who worked in fertility care and helped me make my son. My BEAUTIFUL daughter who makes me laugh so much, and teases me relentlessly whilst always giving the best hugs. The partners through the years who have been such integral chapters in my story, which eventually led me to Emma, the woman who holds my heart and for whom I will be eternally grateful, allows me to hold hers, I love her immeasurably.
I was honoured to share a stage with three AMAZING women this week, speaking in a room full of wonderful women, and when I admitted earlier in the week that as a Trans Non Binary person I worried was taking the place of a ‘real woman’, they held me tight, with love and so for each of them, I thank you. I adore women, women rock, ALL women, my beautiful Trans sisters you are seen, and loved. FACT.
And a big shout out to Ria Hebden and all #wonderwomen ❤️
It’s been an absolute treat to take my 16 year old son, eeek, to a BAFTA screening of Hamnet where he managed to sit through an ENTIRE piece of long form ‘content’… plus Q&A for desert… he’s now in sensory overload so has signed off for the evening… but it was a brilliant night, even if the Pick ‘n’ Mix came to £13.40…
Minutes old, to 16 years old, in the blink of a beautiful blue eye.
I never take for granted how many kind and clever humans brought Kip into my life and how so many more kind and wonderful humans have showered us both with so much love as the years have rolled by.
My funny, caring, cheeky, brilliantly neurodiverse, bright and curious son.
I adore the very essence of him, even if he does have selective hearing and is INCAPABLE of keeping his flippin’ room tidy…❤️
For anyone NOT watching Channel 5 right now - yes I KNOW Traitors is on but you can watch that on iPlayer later - please tune in and watch the first ep of Tom Read Wilson’s Magnificent Adventure, as it truly is, magnificent. Tom was, without question, the most magnificent gift of 2025 and I now utterly treasure a friendship that’s flourished. This is a joyful exploration of The Grand Tour through the eyes of the most beautiful of humans. I love you Tom, here’s to our next Magnificient Adventure ❤️
EIGHTEEN vegetables, I didn’t even know there were eighteen vegetables - I’m not going to need another one till next year! Thankfully, the best beef by a country mile to provide some balance. Best in-laws too.
Happy Christmas one and all, hope you’re not as windy as I am…
