I’ve made my point about this and others have aswell but I thought I should also post at least one thing about it.

Artists ARE being stolen from whether you want to deny it or not. Similar AI programs that work with music have gone out of their way to not use copyrighted work and yet this kind of respect flies out the window for visual artists.
People are harassing artists by making a competition out of replicating their art on an ai and people are defending these actions.

Sure it’s not the AI’s fault, but artificial intelligence is not a person so it can only be defined by those who made it and are misusing it. People who are using it for monetary gain in places where it shouldn’t be welcomed. Art competitions, commissions, childrens books. Art is something human, every piece I’ve made has my own unique thing that I wanted to put there. The creative process is beautiful and takes years to get good at, but anyone can try. That’s what makes it so amazing.

And before someone tells me “but you use references and get inspiration from other artists all the time”
It’s different.
That is learning and adding your own way of doing things, making something new or practicing. I am not copying an artists work directly and saying i did it and that is exactly what many people are doing.

I was inspired by the ethereal lady and her horse and I wanted to draw a bunny one too. I am very proud of this and may continue the series in the future when art classes aren’t taking up most of my time. I really like how all the color turned out.

Drew this a bit ago, school has me STRESSED so posts are a bit behind again. This one was based on my severe stomach pain one night. The idea that this nausea and pain that can just be worse or better randomly can halt my life and make me miserable is something I usually use art to avoid. I really wanted to confront it with this illustration.
