my favourite thing about making art is how much it all feels like one big experiment. found a bag of matchboxes at the antique mall the other week and thought āwhat ifā¦?ā and here we are.
iāve been very into both repurposing and pocket-sized original work lately. at PaperJam earlier this year, my table neighbour @as.per.tayisiya sold a number of original one-page-zines and it really inspired me to think a little differently about both what an original artwork and what a zine could be.
these little guys will be at my table at @objectprojectartbookfair this weekend! canāt wait to be inspired again by my fellow vendors and to meet a whole host of new folks! Ottawa here i come!
(PS. trying to get better at documenting my creative work. how am i doing?)

I really loved being 30 and am so excited to see what 31 has to offer. Thanks 2 everyone thatās been along for the ride so far. LOVE U ALL!
Process pictures of The Living Space! Last Sunday, as part of @corduroy.earth ās CoQuest, a group of artists came together in discussion and collectively decided on the theme of āLiving Spaceā, based on discussion on the current state of public and third spaces as well as art spaces and art accessibility, and partially informed by @cordurboiii ās already constructed stage and additional construction materials on-hand.
From Monday through Thursday, artists dropped by @colodgehamilton to work on the piece, volunteering hours of their time to build upon the piece and contribute new ideas, so that the work really was a constantly evolving, living entity. Thursday evening, Lliam and I dismantled the work, and Friday it was transported over to the @hamontmarket and rebuilt as part of @becausedesignmatters and @ampli5.art ās YUNOās event.
This was a really special project for a number of reasons. Firstly, the group of artists that collaborated on this piece were primarily self-taught, and from a diversity of ages (21-63) and backgrounds that allowed them each to bring a unique perspective and skills to the project. Working so collaboratively and within the confines of time and materials also encouraged a humility and inclusivity that you donāt always get to experience in the arts scene. And the chance to create artwork that the public could experience on such a tactile and immersive level (please touch the art!) was very special.
Huge thanks to Lliam @cordurboiii / @corduroy.earth for the brilliant idea and inviting me on board as facilitator, and to @becausedesignmatters , @ampli5.art , and the @hamontmarket for giving us such an exciting opportunity at an awesome event.
And of course, a HUGE thank you to the artists who contributed their time and brilliant work to this project:

One of the core tenets of the Odder Seeds mission is improving and broadening access to unique, interesting, affordable, and thought-provoking art, craft, and writing, as well as supporting artists, especially those from a self-taught, outsider, or working-class background, in further reaching their potential audiences and building income from their work.
To that end, we are thrilled to announce the launch of an Odder Seeds Online Platform later this spring!
Online visitors will be able to explore and shop from a variety of talented local artists and writers, while only paying a single shipping fee, as all works will be managed and shipped from Odder Seedsā homebase in Hamilton, ON.
This Spring Equinox marks the first open call for Hamilton and Ontario-based artists to join Odder Seeds Online. The application form will open quarterly, and remain open for 3 weeks.
Artists can have their work represented through one of two programs:
1. A standard 1-year consignment agreement, suitable for 1-2 artist multiple listings (e.g. zines, prints, buttons, patches, stickersā¦), with 70% of sales returning to artists, and a 30% commission to Odder Seeds.
2. The O/S Membership Program: Artists pay $66 + tax quarterly for a designated artist collection with up to 12 featured listings, and receive 95% of sales. 5% is held by Odder Seeds to account for card processing fees.
For both programs, O/S handles all website administration and fulfillment of orders, and sales will be paid out quarterly. Works may also be represented for sale on an Odder Seeds collective table at applicable events. More details on the process of the O/S Membership Program can be found in the application form linked in our bio.
