What a pleasure to do a walkthrough for a very curious and very gracious United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres of the Satish Gujral Centennial Exhibition organised by the Gujral Foundation at the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.
The Secretary General was accompanied by UNESCO regional director Tim Curtis, joint secretary in the Ministry of Culture Lily Pandeya, the DG of NGMA and those of Team NGMA who have provided amazing support to the exhibition.
Most gratified that Antonio Guterres described the exhibition as a tour-de-force!
Witnessing the legacy of Satish Gujral is both humbling and deeply moving.
His centenary retrospective, ‘A Century in Form, Fire, and Vision’ unfolds as a powerful journey through seven decades of artistic conviction, resilience, and imagination, bringing together painting, sculpture, architecture, and memory.
Presented by National Gallery of Modern Art in collaboration with the Gujral Foundation, and curated by Kishore Singh, the exhibition is on view until 31 March 2026 at NGMA, New Delhi.
A rare opportunity to engage with the enduring vision of one of India’s most influential modernists. Truly a must visit!
