Often overwhelmed by a cinema cut with the same hegemonic scissors—the boxes, the hollowing out of content, the lack of filmmakers’ stance, and the endless samples of a simplistic and extractivist films—we have embraced the challenge of rethinking cinema, of unsettling, of questioning. No Instagram post will ever be enough to define or describe what Minh-ha’s work—her films and her books—stirs in us, nor the happiness of having her become part of our catalogue.
