A traditionally inked G'raha Tia from FFXIV!
One of my g-nib fountain pens exploded on me last week while working on prints (don't ask.. ) so I had to go back to basics and do a dip pen. And man I was intimidated using it a decade ago but now it's so therapeutic? This piece came out exactly how I envisioned it too with the digital tones!
G'raha Tia is such a sweetie so I drew like 4 of him for a local convention I'm going to (FanFest at Home) this Friday LOL.
Anyways I need to replace my fountain pen because as much as I love dip pens I need a portable option with a g-nib that can do hairline strokes 🥲

This is an old piece I did for Chickadee years back but it was one of my favorites! I got to come up with cool concepts for a STEM narrative featuring a cardboard box!
I rewatched the splash down of Artemis II, and now I'm in a space mood😂 Will probably channel that inspiration to make some future space-themed art!

Some new inks to share! I drew this while playing Drawsteel with friends and wanted to explore hairstyles! What's funny is I chaotically chopped off my characters hair during this session 😅
I tried a new ink with these too that my friend got for me from Japan! Platinum Carbon ink dries SO FAST but I'm noticing it has a bit of a sheen against the light...not sure if I'm a fan of that yet but it's LOVELY otherwise! Do you have any go-to inks you like using with fountain pen or nibs? I feel like the ink world is still so new to me even though I've been using them for a long time 😅

I never thought I would have the chance to do a live drawing at a mall and I would gladly do it again!
Back in January, I was contacted by @holtrenfrew Yorkdale to draw an exclusive Black History Month illustration for them using their iconic magenta, high fashion and vintage vibes, and of course a nod to black trailblazing models and designers in the fashion industry.
I couldn't pass such an opportunity down because that lines with all my interests! It was such an honour as a Black Artist to work with this Canadian retailer. This truly wouldn't have happened if I didn't just POST. They found me from a feature and they trusted my vision.

Sharing a vignette I drew for Better Than A Touchdown! I am beyond amazed by all the love and support people have sent me in regards to this book! The fact it became an instant NYT and USA bestseller within a week is so surreal! This book was so fun to draw and I am blessed to know it'll be gracing the shelves of so many homes 🥰
Also today is the first day of spring, so let's share some green for some warm weather to come!
