This is my design for the illustration competition of the 6-minute diary “Art Edition”.
“The 6-minute diary is your inner Zen garden with which you actively create a positive life.
Every new page of gratitude, mindfulness and positivity brings you more contentment, harmony and balance in your everyday life.
I made this illustration earlier this year as a wedding gift for my cousin and his his wife.

Value study.
Definitively plenty of room for improvement here, but understanding more about values (how dark or light an area is) and how important it is to clearly separate the areas that receive direct light from those that are in the shade, is one of the most important learnings so far.
