The group who organised the local Black Lives Matters demos in 2020 are now called Kingston for Equality.
They held exceptionally powerful rallies in Fairfield Recreation Ground, where many members of our diverse, local community spoke out against racism.
People either shared their experiences of racism or helped to highlight the systemic injustices of our society.

🌱💚 Throwback time - What an incredible day at the Good Food Green Fair in Jubilee Square this June!
From live music and local stalls to eco-friendly activities and delicious food, the community came together to celebrate sustainability, creativity, and connection. ✨
We at Kingston for Equality were proud to be a part of it — sharing music by amazing talent, selling recycled fashion and bird feeders made out of recycled materials as well as info on rights of nature as well as local birds and their importance in food growing🐦⬛🥕✨
So many great conversations were sparked about protecting nature, living sustainably, and growing together as a community. 🌍💪
