Finally got to screen my 2nd cycle film at AFI. This was such a special experience and I feel really grateful to have gotten to work with such an amazing and dedicated team of talented and powerful women.
We knew doing sci-fi on such a low budget and with restrictive parameters would be an immense challenge. After all, how do you build a believable world, tell people its rules, and most importantly show them a compelling story in 10 minutes all while balancing a nonlinear structure? I’m happy with what we accomplished as a team and blown away by the immense creativity and care each of my teammates brought to the film.
