The silence we feel from God is not absense, it is preparation for our soul to ascertain Gods intention for us. The soul has to know the difference between wanting holiness and wanting the feeling of holiness. But now within ourselves we let’s think of that thing that stops us from being the person you want to be before God, a circumstance, a relationship, a feeling that seems chronic, these roadblocks are here sometimes to build us or prepare us to become who God wants.

I’m not necessarily saying, that when life becomes overwhelming you can’t take a step back, but I’m pushing more on having the willingness to still hold on our commitment, because a lot of us just decide to let it go without necessarily trying or even praying for the grace and strength, because even during the agony in the garden, Christ himself prayed for strength and God sent and angel to strengthen him.

During this period of lent, we should find a way to grow deeper and close to God, it’s a period when we reflect more on Christ and turn to him in repentance, self discipline and sacrifice. The beauty about such periods is that we end up building characters and habits that build our spiritual life in ways we don’t expect. And this season of lent has full effect when things things our habits we pickup during the period of lent we hold on to it even after lent, and not just drop it and go back to our old ways.

Anyone that I’ve spoken to about my 2025, would know I say the year felt like a glitch😂 or maybe the year happened by a mistake😂😂 or something weird was just wrong with the year… It basically got me wondering, if I was doing something wrong, if I was in a waiting period or if God was trying to test my faith, but it just kept on getting worst 😂. Amidst all of these one thing I knew for sure was that Gods plans for me are for good and not for evil… And although the year didn’t go as planned there was one aspect of my life I felt continuous growth from previous years and that was my spiritual life,there were vices I didn’t even know I had that I discovered and dropped and currently working on, and also virtues I added to my life…
What I’m trying to say basically is that Gods major impact in our life aren’t always going to be something material or temporal, they could come in form of graces, virtues and purging/cleansing, and the most important thing you can get from God is that which is eternal.
John 14:15; If you love me, you will keep my commandments… but how exactly can we show this love? … to what extent are we willing to show this love ?… what are we willing to sacrifice to show this love?…. We should take some time to ponder on these things.

We as Christian’s need to go back to treating sacred things as sacred, especially the church, our bodies and Gods name. In today’s world we use Gods name for numerous reasons that are wrong, be it as a form of reaction, for jokes or even for exclamation, we need to find a way to treat his name as Holy as it is.
