The transformation you can see in these dogs and cats after just a couple of days can be truly incredible ❤️
However not everyone's story will be an over night success. Some of our newest residents will take much longer to get acclimated to their new lives. That's why our care team lives on site with these incredible animals, to better ensure they get the love and care they so desperately need.

Today, 19 cats are on their freedom ride.
These cats were bred for research and born into a life stripped of nearly every natural instinct, except the will to survive in unnatural surroundings.
Their release marks our final trip to this Colorado facility. In total, we have helped more than 60 dogs and cats leave a research facility that is now closing its doors forever. We have welcomed every one of their animals.
As recent headlines focus on the dogs purchased from Ridglan Farms to be placed into homes, some confusion has followed among those who do not regularly know our work. So let us be clear: This is what we do. This is who we are. This is the mission we were founded to carry out.
In 2007, David Groobman founded our organization with one purpose: to offer sanctuary to former research animals.
We stated clearly in March that we were not involved with the activists who entered the breeding facility. We also stated earlier this month that we were assisting with the closure of a separate testing facility, unrelated to Ridglan. Those who are on our social feeds for the first time, we encourage you to continue exploring our pages and see who we are and join us in the successes we all can celebrate.
We are genuinely glad those dogs are going into homes. At the same time, the methods used to secure them do not reflect how we operate. We will gladly offer resources and support to those opening their hearts and homes to these dogs, because we believe our sanctuary, along with our trusted partners, is uniquely qualified to help animals transitioning out of breeding or research settings.
We also believe this Colorado facility’s decision to close and invite us in to help place every animal is a testament to the power of our non-adversarial approach.
Today is both an ending and a beginning. An ending to confinement, and the beginning of safety, healing, and lives finally lived on their own terms.

Operation Closure continues this week as 22 more former research beagles make their journey to Kindness Ranch. With the arrivals from yesterday, 42 beagles are now safe at Kindness Ranch, beginning their second chance at the loving, joyful lives they’ve always deserved.

The first group of dogs in what we are calling "Operation Closure" are on their way to Kindness Ranch. This operation is years in the making and is the result of non-adversarial dialogue and steady relationship building with this research facility.
This is just step one of Operation Closure, and starting today we will be welcoming nearly 70 total dogs & cats to Hartville Wyoming to experience kindness for the very first time. Over the next weeks, each will receive veterinary services and work closely with our caretaking team to get ready for the next chapter of their lives.

"Kindness Ranch has been approached and asked to help facilitate the closure of a research testing facility and welcome all of the animals currently housed there.
We are grateful to be in a position to help, and we believe this moment is a true testament to our approach. Through non-adversarial dialogue, steady relationship building, and a commitment to creating change from within, Kindness Ranch has become a trusted partner when facilities make the decision to place animals into new lives of care, safety, and compassion.
At this time, we do not need fosters. What we do need is support to cover the cost of spays and neuters for nearly 70 cats and dogs.
