The last parcels from my spring sale are leaving the studio today, and I’m finally taking a quiet moment to reflect on these past days. I’m still amazed by how this sale unfolded — I don’t quite have the words to describe the mix of gratitude and relief I felt when it launched and the first orders came in so quickly. After months of working alone in the studio, it’s an incredibly meaningful response.
For those who’ve been following my thoughts lately, it also feels like regaining confidence in the future — something that had been shaken by the exhaustion of balancing motherhood and running a business, in a rather uncertain economic context.
When I was a child, I dreamed of having an atelier, a place where my personal and professional lives would blend together. Seeing Malo play in the pottery studio while Thomas and I talk about my latest glaze tests, then heading home together — it really feels like the life I imagined. It’s often challenging, especially given how fragile our work as artisans can be, but I wouldn’t go back for anything.
These everyday moments exist thanks to you — your messages, your encouragement, your orders. Your loyalty, especially from returning clients, surprises me every time. Thank you so much for being here.
The studio closes tonight for two weeks — yes, two weeks! Our first real holidays away since Malo was born (she’s almost 17 months now). There are still things unfinished, but that’s okay. It’s time to rest. Today will be for tidying the studio, writing lists for what comes next, meeting the contractor working on the future basement, and slowly easing into this long-awaited break.
And I almost forgot to write about the maneki-nekos in the photos — I’ve been developing them for the past few weeks with my friend @salima_zahi . They celebrate our mutual joy of making, the luck of having met, and our friendship. We hope to present them at @saint_sulpice_ceramique this June, on our double stand.
Exciting things ahead. Merci pour tout 🤍

It’s the big day! The online shop reopens this evening with an entirely new collection. This moment marks the end of several months of exploration, of new directions and desires. Looking at the finished work today, I find myself wishing I had documented the process more — I really love seeing it all come together like this. Time was in short supply, and I had to focus almost entirely on making the pieces, but that’s alright. There will be many small dishes and plates, cups, and a new series of soliflores. Also several new forms that I truly enjoyed making, and overall, a quality of glazing that I’m very happy with.
The new collection will go live tonight at 7pm (local time) on the online shop. A few additional details for those who are not yet familiar with these sales: items are not reserved in your cart while you check out, so it is possible for someone else to purchase them before you complete your order. Unfortunately, this is not something I can’t change. International shipping is available, with rates based on the French postal service. For those nearby, free studio pickup is also an option. Finally, the studio will be closed from May 1st to May 17th for a break, so please plan accordingly.
I’m really looking forward to opening the shop and having your thoughts!

Over the last few days, firings have been coming thick and fast in the studio, and at the same time I’ve been continuing my glazing marathon to finish the new pieces for the next collection. As I mentioned in my stories and in my last post, over the past few months I’ve felt as though I no longer had enough time to make. Paradoxically, this lack of time has made my time in the studio feel more precious than ever.
So I was determined to make the most of it, and that translated into an even stronger desire to try new things. Mugs where, for the first time, I’ve combined a handle with a petal-shaped rim. New bowl sizes—the ones in the picture were thrown from 300g of clay—a weight I particularly enjoy working with. Eight-sided plates, where cutting the circle from thrown pieces to reveal an octagon has recently become a real passion of mine.
I take such pleasure in making these pieces that my decision to minimise anything that might distract me from my main goal in setting up a pottery studio—creating things with my own hands—feels even more justified. As I write these words, the kiln should have cooled down enough to be opened again. I still have about three more firings to complete the Spring collection. I’m very happy to share that this new work will go online on Wednesday, 15 April at 7pm (French time). I hope you’ll like it—I’m really looking forward to it!

I couldn’t resist going to the studio yesterday afternoon. Malo had gone out with her dad for a walk-and-nap, the weather was beautiful, and I knew the kiln had cooled enough to open. This is the first glaze firing in a long series, leading up to a new collection next month. The joy of opening a kiln full of glazed pieces never fades. These small octagonal plates are my favorites from this firing. Their shape isn’t perfectly regular, but I loved the whole process of making them, from start to finish.
The sunshine and these new pieces have given me a fresh burst of energy for the week ahead. I’m currently going through an intense period of reflection about my professional priorities. I recently realized how tired I’ve been—sometimes too tired to do what should be my number one priority: making pots. So I’ve started taking a close look at how I spend my working time, and I’ve made some significant decisions, like cutting my teaching hours in half this year.
I’ve always loved teaching wheel throwing, whether to beginners or more experienced students. But as Malo grows, my energy isn’t what it used to be — 15 months of sleep deprivation doesn’t help— , and I have to accept that I can’t do everything. Making pots is the very reason this studio exists—the reason I left architecture for ceramics seven years ago—and it needs to remain my priority. Since making this adjustment, I feel lighter, and I hope to see the effects in the upcoming months. In the meantime, I keep making—and with just as much joy.

The last time I posted on this feed was last year. Now, it’s already February, and January has come and gone. January is a very special month for my studio — and perhaps for many others? It’s a month apart, where I allow myself to decenter from production to recenter on what will matter to me this year.
I deliberately didn’t make any pots, but I did lots of other things. After the hustle and bustle of the end-of-year sales, I often feel like devoting January to teaching. I held my first workshop on glaze research and application, and I also taught serial throwing for the first time. At the same time, a fellow artist and I made our first attempts at a series of four-handed pieces. You should see these attempts. They are beautiful, joyful, a little crazy . A bit like this duo that I would never have imagined possible when I first saw their work several years ago.
Then I took some time to sketch out the thread of my year, then draw the next pieces for spring. Finally, I nourish myself by carving time to learn something different and new — that’s how I did my first lesson on the wood lathe — or visit inspiring places — which I should actually do all year round, not just in January. Since then, I’ve been back on my wheel, making these altered bowls, the first ones of the year.

After an extra day yesterday to send out the last few parcels, I am officially closing the studio for my first proper holiday of the year — better late than never! I’m at a loss for words, so I’ll just say it again: thank you so much for all your orders this year, for your messages, your visits, your patience and understanding, and for all the support. I’m ending the year feeling more confident than when it began, and super motivated to do even better next year. The joy of making is stronger than ever, my mind is buzzing with a thousand ideas, and I have some wonderful projects in the pipeline, but there is a time for everything, and now it is time for me to rest. I am looking forward to this break, where I will enjoy slowing down, taking naps, cooking, wrapping presents, taking care of my home and, above all, spending time with my family. I wish you all the same, and enjoy these precious times. Once again: thank you 🤍

It’s still a mad rush at the studio — not getting easier with my turn being sick and some chaotic toddler nights — but I’m finally taking a moment this morning to say two things. First, a huge thank you to everyone who has placed an order on the online shop since the launch of the winter collection. Words cannot express how grateful I am for this incredible support, especially in an economic climate that is challenging for many. I’m packing orders daily, and I hope that by 16 December, they’ll all be on their way to their new homes. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.
For those of you in the area, I’m opening the studio this Saturday, 13 December, from 10am to 7pm for the last sale of the year. For the occasion, I will have a new — small — series of pieces, mainly cups, mugs and bowls. Everything is currently firing in the kiln — I told you it was the rush! I can’t wait to see the results and put them in the shop this Saturday. For this sale, I will also be joined by my studio mates Nolwenn and Sasha. We look forward to welcoming you for a moment of conviviality and sharing, with hot apple juice and sweet treats!

The final stages of making a new treasure box. After throwing and turning them, they go through an first firing at 980°C. Once they come out of the kiln, I wax the underside and the two parts that fit together so that the glaze doesn’t stick. This is a step I really enjoy doing, but I always underestimate how long it takes. I then dip them in an glaze bath, in this case my toasted white glaze, which I developed at the beginning of the year and whose red tones I really like when the glaze is thin.
I wipe off the last traces of excess glaze, then place small balls of wadding on the unglazed parts so that I can fire the lid fitted into the body of the box. I always do this with my boxes to avoid deformation if I were to fire the two parts separately — inevitably, they would no longer fit together as well. I wanted this box to be small, simple and flat.
Flat, to hold my treasures, which I place on the lids after the glazing stage. The shells and obsidian fragments fuse into the glaze and are fired at 1280°C in my electric kiln. This is the first time I’ve tried this type of addition to my pieces, and I never tire of looking at all the details. I can’t wait for the next ones. In the meantime, this first series will be available when my online shop reopens tonight — I hope you’ll like them!

The online shop will be updated with a collection of new pieces tomorrow at 7pm French time. The overall is the result of several months of reflection on my personal approach to pottery and throwing, the materials I use and the character I want my pieces to express. There will be a variety of pieces: boxes, soliflores, cups, bowls and, these teapots that I absolutely loved to make. For this winter, I have chosen a more subtle palette of glazes to allow the material and the gestures that mark it to speak for themselves.
International shipping is still available, although shipments to the United States will be slower than before due to new customs protocols. Pick-ups at the studio will also be available until 16 December inclusive. The studio will then close for the holidays and reopen on 12 January — so please plan ahead if you want to pick up your orders in time for the holidays. Until then, I still have a lot to do to finish the shop, while my little Malo is completely down with the flu. Life is challenging me at the end of this year, but I can’t wait to launch this sale and hear your feedback!

One of my favourite pieces at the end of this year. A small box, made from a mixture of stoneware, sand, chamotte and crushed rocks, hand-dipped in a simple matt glaze without oxides. It reflects what I wanted to do for the last collection of the year. To make room for desire, spontaneity, joy to make, and the uncertainty of the final result. Not to plan, barely to draw, to move forward more fluidly.
In short, the opposite of how I did everything else throughout the year, where I constantly listed, calculated, planned, and accounted for everything in order to best organise my studio life with my new life as a mother. And to get back on track after a short maternity leave that left me in a delicate situation at the beginning of the year. Those anxious days gradually faded away, giving way to more and more serenity.
Serenity, despite a schedule that I still don’t have a good handle on. But that’s what’s new for me this year: I’ve learned to accept working constantly behind schedule because I’ve prioritised making at my own pace over working quicker, despite a no longer extendable time at the studio — another new thing for me! So it is with some delay, but with great joy, that I announce that the next and final online collection of the year will be available next Wednesday, 3 December at 7pm French time.
— I can’t wait!

A quick post to share some news, but above all to thank you for your many visits last weekend during our annual seconds sale. I don’t often open my doors for studio sales, but the joy of doing so is the same every time. I love seeing the studio’s regulars again, meeting new people, and trying to create interest those who are discovering a ceramics studio for the first time. A special thank you to all the customers who were so understanding and patient when my @sumup.fr terminal decided to crash without warning 15 minutes after the sale started. Also, thanks to the sales, 500€ was donated today to @unicef_france , specifically for their work in Gaza. Again, a huge huge thank you!
Otherwise, after a busier summer at the studio than I had anticipated, the fall season is following the same path. I’m juggling between producing the pre-ordered deep plates, the new pieces for the end-of-the-year festivities, Malo’s debuts at day care – starting this month, she will have spent more time outside than inside my womb, if that’s not crazy enough! – our home being rearranged (still not finished to this day), and administrative tasks that are piling up. And the feeling of always being behind schedule. Except that in the last few days, I’ve been a little more accepting than usual of being late, keeping people waiting, sometimes for a long time, or simply forgetting things. This year, I’m doing my best, and actually I believe that’s not so bad.

Summer at the studio is coming to an end. It has been a special, intense summer, filled with long weeks of work, and yet it will leave me with a fleeting impression, as it has passed so quickly. Autumn is beginning with new events: the 2025-2026 workshop programme is now online with several new themes, and I can finally share with you the date of my annual seconds sale, which will take place as part of the « Braderie des céramistes du 20e arrondissement de Paris ».
A pottery studio is always full of pieces that don’t always find their place in the regular collections of the year: end-of-line items, prototypes, pieces with slight defects, demonstration pots or surplus orders... These imperfections accumulate over the months, and I like to give them a second chance. As last year, I will be presenting them at a collective sale on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of September, alongside the many workshops in the neighbourhood that will be opening their doors at the same time. This is an opportunity to step inside the workshops, meet the people who work there, and perhaps adopt a unique piece at a reduced price.
My studio mates, Nolwenn Baillet @nolwennbaillet and Sasha Mackiewicz @__sashamack and I will be there all weekend to welcome you to the studio at 76 rue Julien Lacroix, Paris 20th arrondissement, on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 to 19:00. We hope to see many of you there, so please feel free to share the event with your friends and family!
Finally, 10% of the proceeds from this sale will be donated to @unicef_france , and more specifically for their work in Gaza.
