Happy 60th Birthday @vans !
I’m really honored I could share a small part of this legendary journey with you, and it’s definitely been one hell of a ride:
I’ve met amazing people along the way, people I’m proud to now call family. I’ve been to a lot of incredible places with them and was lucky enough to document it all in the best possible way.
All of this while having loads of fun and enjoying every single moment of it.
Vans and its legacy have had an immense impact on my life, both personally and professionally. I jumped in as a young skateboarding videomaker and learned so much while working “on the road.”
Being able to define my own style, having carte blanche to direct and experiment with new ideas year after year (always supported along the way) are truly priceless conditions for achieving great results. And I think that’s exactly what we did.
I’m truly thankful for everything Vans has done for me, and I always will be.
I wish I could include all the memories we’ve shared in a single post, but I’m kind of at peace knowing that this would basically be impossible so I’ll just share a few meaningful ones, while keeping so many others forever in my mind and heart.
Thank you from the bottom of that same heart to everyone who was part of it all.
You know who you are.

Handycam Tales: Episode 14 - @theicestmoritz 2026
Since a couple of years, every time I travel I bring with me a very understated piece of equipment: the almighty, full titanium Sony TG3
Performance-wise it’s absolutely no big deal, nothing more, nothing less than the typical early-2000s go-to camera. But it’s a really nice object. It’s incredibly small (which means pocketable), compact, reasonably fast and reliable, but most importantly…it’s fun to use.
Not that I need an extra camera, of course, but I genuinely enjoy using something different from my smartphone, rediscovering the pleasure of shooting with something that isn’t one of the incredibly performing cameras I already use everyday for work, or that damn brick I always carry in my pockets (and already use way too much).
Not that I have anything against smartphones or smartphone photography (I’m actually a big fan, as you probably know), but sometimes I really need to try something else. Something that offers me new challenges, new perspectives, fresh inspiration.
So I’ve started bringing this camera with me wherever I go, shooting fun little “episodes” along the way.
No huge resolutions, no hyperbolic editing, not even a touch of color grading. Just pure randomness and fun.

Been there, done that.
Another year, another @theicestmoritz in the books.
Probably the best edition so far, nothing short of EXTRAordinary (very extra actually, hence the big caps): the cars, of course. The weather. The crowd. The vibes. Everything in between.
But also what happens behind the scenes to put it all together in the best possible way. Truly impressive.
It’s always a pleasure and an honor to be there and witness an event grow and evolve so much year after year, so thank you to @carvintage and @theicestmoritz for having me once again, let’s do it again next year please!
