The Strokes at The Chelsea, Las Vegas, 27 September 2025.
What a show. I have been a Strokes fan for like 20 years, and this was my first time being able to see them. Jeff and I got there early and secured a rail spot and he managed to get all of these great shots. The floor was springy like a trampoline, which was sick. Julian's vocals and banter were top tier, and the band was exceptional. One of their guitarists was out for a family thing, and this guy Steve smashed it as the replacement. What a day. FJM is such an important artist to me, and I can't wait to see him again soon. Jack White was unbelievable, and it was a whole family affair with my siblings (we were all raised on him). Billy was as great as always. New York was a beautiful and necessary trip to connect with family. I've seen such wonderful things with my loved ones.
Today is Jeff's 30th birthday. People are lucky to find love— but I am the luckiest. This man is not only my love, but my best friend and companion in all things. He is the big squeeze at the end of a long day, the laughing fit that drops me to the floor of a store, the comfortable sigh as I'm slipping into sleep. His passion, creativity, and enthusiasm are unmatched. Yet he is also patient, understanding, and supportive in ways I've never experienced before. I hope this year— and this decade— bring on countless beautiful moments to cherish. I'm excited to see all the ways he changes and grows, and I'll gladly take everything he is now. I love you, darling. Happy Birthday 💜
