Bisher wusste ich gar nicht, dass man Baumpilze essen kann, aber ich lebe noch und zumindest dieser hier war, in Butter angebraten und mit Salz und Pfeffer gewürzt, einfach vorzüglich.
Das auf dem Foto ist der Gemeine Schwefelporling und durch ein Instagram-Reel habe ich vor kurzem von diesem Pilz erfahren. Und dann heute Früh auf der Hunde-Runde leuchtet da so ein krass gelb/orangefarbener Baumpilz und ich dachte nur: passt.
Man nennt den Pilz auch Chicken Of The Woods, weil er gebraten wie Curryhühnchen ausschaut und auch die Konsistenz irgendwie wir Hühnerfleisch ist. Ich gebe zu, hatte anfänglich etwa Bedenken, einen Baumpilz zu essen, aber der Geschmack ist wirklich richtig lecker und wie gesagt, ich lebe noch. 👍
Ich wollte meinen heutigen Schatzfund einfach mal mit Euch teilen und vielleicht begegnet ihr im Wald ja auch einmal so einem orangenen Leckerbissen.

Day 18 of the patina challenge. Its an @mbsdpipes Meerschaum Reverse Calabash, and its starting to deepen into a nice amber color now. Cant wait to see some deeper browns. May keep this going to see how she progresses further after the 30daya just because its such a fun experiment. (Also, because I really enjoy the reverse calabash.)

Day 12 of 30 for coloring this Meerschaum pipe. Honestly its come farther, quicker than I had thought. Cant wait to see how it ends up after 30 days of being my sole pipe. Too much fun. I think its going to end up with some impressive color.
Take a look at the leaves, coming up the bottom fron under the stummel, how they darkness is creeping out in the deeper crevices of the carving. 🤌🤌
