Our spooky surprise is that we’ve got a single coming out tomorrow! You will be able to listen to it, alongside with an interview with Katy, on Sam Hindley and James Fagan’s radio show Thank Goodness It’s Folk at 10am tomorrow (Friday) on Sheffield live!

Trying out my tiny palette and sketch book with a low stakes doodle. I’m not much of a watercolour user and wanted to play with glazing and mixing on the page, and also to remind myself I don’t have to do intricate little landscapes etc. I don’t draw for fun enough so I want to keep this silly little book mostly silly and unintimidating .
(Because I too am mostly silly and unintimidating)

Tomorrow’s the big day! Not only are we launching our kickstarter but we will reveal the name of our album! Here’s a hint… it’s 5 words beginning with these 5 letters and it’s a lyric from a song we sing! What do you think the title is?
Last week, we had a joyful time singing with @streamofsound_official 💙 most of our car journey was spent learning words for the concert but we did a bit of Arbrveyn singing too!
We have some very exciting news coming later this week 👀 but for now we’ll leave you with a snippet of one of our favourite songs, Black and Gold!
Another bit of Sashiko I’m able to share now it’s been given to its recipient, a pencil case for my mum.
Lots of learning from @sashikostory & @thegreenwrapper for Sashiko and @bernadettebanner for hand stitching, and using fabric and sashiko thread from @japancrafts . It was my first time making anything with a lining or a zip and I ended up drafting the pattern myself so I could make the Shippou match up across the edges. It was really satisfying to see it come together.
