The Sam Wenc Trio have their debut performance on Saturday, August 9th 7PM (please note start time) at the Maas Building located at 1325 N. Randolph Street (nearest MFL station Girard).
Sam Wenc is a composer, improviser, and interdisciplinary artist working with sound, text, performance and installation. He has released music on Longform Editions, Where to Now, Moone Records, Noumenal Loom, Sweet Wreath, and amongst others. His work has been supported by Elektronmusikstudion (Stockholm, Sweden), Art OMI (Ghent, NY), Foundation for Contemporary Arts and has performed throughout the US, Canada, Peru, and Japan.
He is one-half of Lobby Art Editions, a record label that highlights and releases works by artists exploring boundaries of genre and media. He manages Mississippi Records, an independent archival record label that has been releasing music by overlooked artists for nearly 20 years.
Sam will be joined by Will Henriksen (Florry) on violin and Matthew Smith Lee (Totally Automatic) on bass clarinet.
Also performing are Wheatie Mattiasich, Wrinkle (first show in 20 years) & Luciana Bass (from Argentina - Philadelphia debut!). Tickets and info link in bio.

Totally Automatic was formed by Anne Ishii, Eugene Lew and Matthew Smith Lee in the summer of 2021. They play unarranged music with each other, on drums, saxophone and electronics, and can be found around Philadelphia.
Totally Automatic perform on Saturday May 10th 8PM at Calvary Community Center located at 4740 Baltimore Ave (Entrance on side of building - 48th street). Also performing are History Dog trumpeter Chris Williams (he/him), drummer Lesley Mok (they/them), bass guitarist Luke Stewart (he/him) and vocalist Shara Lunon (she/they) making their Philly debut.
