On November 2nd, Caleb and I proclaimed our love in front of our closest friends and family. A magical, intimate evening we are so grateful to have shared with them.
On June 21st, three years to the day since we started dating, we privately married each other in the way we always dreamed of. With his father as our pastor, we exchanged personal vows and committed to a life of protection, faith, and deeply unshakable love. Hearts racing, we got ready together and drove there together, because like all things in life we always prefer to be together.
We have loved each other loudly from the day that we met. But love is also those quiet moments in between that no one sees- the silent looks across the room, the chaotic days that end in the peace of one another, and the endless commitment to always choose each other.
“They always say you must learn to love yourself first, but I don’t believe that’s true anymore. Finding someone who allows you to be the truest version of yourself and loves you more because of it creates the safest space for love, and I can finally say I have never loved myself more.”
Caleb DeVaughn, I wish I could truthfully say you are the man of my dreams but I can’t. I would never have been capable of dreaming up someone as magnificent as you. You are an anomaly, a gift to everyone who meets you and we are all blessed to know you. I love you more than I could ever put into words. In this lifetime, and the next, and all the ones that came before. Thank you for choosing me.
HAPPY FREAKIN BIRTHDAY TO MY BEST FRIEND!!!!! The backbone to my mental health, the people’s best friend, America’s national treasure, the one and only Caleb D!!!! We only get 365 days to celebrate him at 33 so you better start now!! I love you so much my pookie pinworm, always, endlessly, and forever, in this life and the next and all the ones that came before! 💜🖤
Last month marked three years together. Three years of love, patience, and acceptance. Three years of finding a person my soul can call home. And three years of wishing time would slow down. In this life and the next, and all the ones that came before 🤍
Thank you to Caleb’s best friend @alexashmanphoto for the beautiful photos, as always 🫶🏼
