Ontario Parks is completing culvert replacements along the first kilometre of Killbear Provincial Park’s main road. Visitors may experience temporary delays during active construction. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to be patient and exercise caution while entering and exiting the park, and to follow all signs and directions.

Before you arrive, here are a few important things to know to help your visit go smoothly 👇
✨ We’re a paperless park! If you’ve booked your campsite or day‑use permit in advance and registered your vehicle, you can drive straight in—no paper permit needed.
🦉 Discovery! Visit the Discovery Centre anytime between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Thursday to Monday with Discovery Programming happening on Saturday and Sunday.
🛍️ Nature Shoppe! Open 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Monday
🚗 Gatehouse & Park Office Hours
Long Weekend (Friday May 15th –Sunday May 16th):
• Park Office, Beaver Dams, and Harold Point: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Starting Monday (May 18):
• Park Office: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., daily
• Beaver Dams & Harold Point:
– 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (Sunday–Thursday)
– 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (Friday & Saturday)

Mergansers typically lay between 6 and 17 eggs per clutch. In some cases, mergansers will also deposit eggs in other nests, allowing other mothers to adopt additional chicks. 🐤
