Hello, been a minute. We appreciate everyone who has offered support, shared memories, and especially attended the service for Nick in December. It’s been a difficult few months for us. Despite that we are excited to announce a celebration of life for our best friend and all time guitar player on May 24th at Lee’s Palace. It’s the sort of lineup and overall gig that we know he would appreciate and talk all of yer ears off about to the extent that it feels like a proper honour and respectful way to collectively recognize the life of a once-in-a-lifetime homie. The lineup speaks for itself but also for the impact he left on the scene and on us all as people who were lucky enough to consider ourselves members of his community. Ticket link will be in our bio. Additionally it needs to be said that this project could never continue without him and accordingly will not continue. Thank you to everyone who came to a show, played a show, bought a record, or chatted with us after the gig. It meant a lot to Nick and if you did any of those things then you know that. may 24 at lee’s we are celebrating the life of the most boundary-pushing guitar player in toronto and kindest man in punk, nick gergesha. a very present and beloved friend to us all, his passing has been heavy and painful but also an reminder of how the personal practice of genuine enthusiasm, support, and committed care for our friends and loved ones has a life that thrives beyond ourselves. it’s its own thing and it’s beautiful. in that spirit we come together with our good comrades in this city to give nick the respect and recognition he deserves. surprise band or two to be announced at a later date but we’ll be there and we hope you will be too ❤️
