Then there was climbing! We hired a guide to take us up my first multi-pitch. We did some short roping which was also new to me and he taught us a little bit about building anchors and placing trad gear. Maybe one day I’ll lead trad but for now I’m just working on getting stronger and having fun sport climbing.
July was very busy for my teaching schedule with 3 events, 3 weekly classes, and preparing for a festival in Aug. Therefore I spent a lot of time practicing, planning, and organizing. But really what this meant was more me-time. More self-practice, more journaling, and more connecting to myself and my intentions. And because of that, I’m feeling a stronger sense of balance and ease in my life lately and it feels really good to feel so grounded. Looking forward to even more rest and recreation next month and savoring all the joys of summer.
