Valentine Prissette, a visual artist born 1998 in Libourne, lives and works in Paris. She graduated from
the Ecole nationale supérieure d’arts de Paris Cergy in2022. Her practice revolves around installations
combining textiles, wood and wax. She explores the relationship between the theatrical and the
domestic, the environmental and the personal, gender issues and abstraction. Using scenography, the
artist creates fragments of interiors, uninhabited scenes of a theatre at a standstill. Using familiar
forms, she conjures up equivocal tales that are told before going to sleep.

I’ve been in the US of America lots over the past few years. Possibly the most excruciating and repetitive task while there has been explaining that I live in ‘the Old Jersey’ as to them, Jersey refers to their new one. 🇯🇪
