I just graduated with a Masters Degree from Yale University, a 3 year program, with an amount of love and support and knowledge that I couldn’t have imagined. And through a pandemic?? Wow. I have never laughed this much, cried this much, or worked this hard in my life. All of the phone calls, texts, memes, financial support, spaces to cry, opportunities, lunch dates, sarcasm, YouTube video comments, coffee dates, people who made me food, books for plane rides, dances, hugs, advice, feedback, and prayer from my friends, peers, professors, mentors, and family have touched my spirit. Thank you God for allowing me to make it this far. I wouldn’t have without all of you. The people that I have looked up to in architecture know me now. Sheesh. I know this was the best school at the right time for me.
Looking towards the future with optimism and strength. I’m not the same person I was 3 years ago, and I welcome that. Cheers to more growth and paying forward all that was poured into me. Love you.
