it’s official ✨🧁 my song ‘dionysus’ is dropping april 24th !! presave link in my bio :)) i can’t wait to share this song with all of you <3 it blends my love of greek mythology, nyc nightlife, and lana del rey 🍰💕
I’ve always been thoughtful about the role visuals play in pop music. It isn’t just about how something sounds — it’s about world-building. My job is to transport the listener somewhere else entirely, into an alternate universe.
I put a lot of intention into this shoot. The piercings represent the way pleasure and pain can be synonymous — how the line between the two can blur, especially within romantic relationships. The Y2K-inspired Candyland backdrop is a nod to childhood fairytales, which shaped my early ideas of love, and a direct homage to Katy Perry, an artist I cut my teeth on.
The black-and-white, creepy-cute elements come from a deeply personal place: my late mother’s paintings, which shaped my visual language growing up. She found beauty in the weird, cuteness in the grotesque. I’m drawn to contrast because I use art as a way to channel darker parts of myself and the reality that dating, love, and womanhood haven’t always lived up to the unrealistic expectations I was raised on through Disney cartoons. So I projected a fantasy onto something far more sinister.
Nothing here is accidental. This shoot is one small piece of a much bigger picture — a glimpse into the world that’s coming next. A very twisted fairytale.
