November 12 marks a year without Shadow Fax. I spent the day he passed at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. I wanted to remember it in pictures. As I walked the park, the universe sent me a stranger who had also lost a young kitty in a similar way. He comforted me for an hour as we stood amongst bees in a vegetable garden. When we parted, my mom called and reminded me to take pictures of shadows.
