To Hell and Back 6 ⛓️ Purgatory Bay Race
I raced 70 fixed miles around the bay this morning and came in 2nd for She/Them/Femme, and 10th overall!
The person I was training with got injured before THAB so I was lucky enough to work with @nicksterwinster today til I started to die out. Finally got my first leg cramp, what a time. Thankfully, I didn’t have to ride solo for too long until @fixed_gear_mason showed up on Gandy and saved me from bonking! I finished in 4 hours averaging a speed of 18.3mph. This was a hard ride for sure, but I’m proud of how I did!
Thank you Justin as always for hosting races and giving everyone in Tampa reasons to train!

Weeki Wachee bikepacking 🧜♀️✨
Few weeks ago we squeezed in one more big ride before summer really hits and went on a mini tour to Weeki Wachee. Growing up in this area I would have never ever ever imagined you could ride your bike here from Tampa, but hey, where there’s a will to risk it in the name of adventure, there’s a way.
Visiting the water park was real special to me, I grew up spending summers there, watching the mermaid shows, and soaping up my back to gain extra speed down the water slides. Getting to swim around with my love & bestest pals was kinda surreal and made me a lil emotional. Life’s funny and cool.
Would absolutely recommend camping at Mary’s Fish Camp, would not recommend biking on Shore Line Blvd to get there (unless you got no heck’s to give)

Sadly I missed out on some Houston Alleycat action 2 weeks ago, because I got food poisoning. I’ve rode this bike from one side of Florida to the other & on all type of gravel adventures- but never in an Alleycat. Gonna have to pop its 🍒 this Sunday at House Cat 👀

Placed 2nd for WTF, 10th overall which is actually crazy for how I felt, BIG shoutout to Phil for not leaving me, even though I tried to convince him to go 🥲
Got heat exhaustion before we even hit Manhattan, and had to slow wayyyyy down. I honestly almost quit. Like for real, and I never quit (cue me doing a whole race in NOLA on a flat tire), but I think the sun starting to set took the edge off enough that I was able to bump the speed back up. Definitely was chasing @wheely.wonka the whole time and giving 150% to stay on that wheel, sometimes from a couple blocks away lollll. We took some solid lines through traffic, we took some really dumb ones too. Took a wrong turn on the way outta DTSP and did an extra lap around a block, but I’d like to think we made up for that with the tailwind on Gandy because man we were cruising. Anyways, idk if I can say it was fun, the race anyways, hanging out with everyone was a blast, ALWAYS! Invite me to your training rides because man do I need it.
And cheers to @fixiedad92 the host, the man with the most. Thanks for keeping things interested in the TPA fixed community. I agree this race needed to rest, but I know you’re not done coming up with wild stuff for us to do! Love ya!

It was truly beautiful to see all the different bike communities come together for the weekend to party in the dirt 🤘
