“Cyber Maiden”
This is a reconstructed 80’s gothic dress made by me. Wanted to bring it back life with an old school visual kei twist
Each piece for the dress took around 2 weeks using an industrial Juki machine (3 months in total)
I didn’t have patterns just eyeballed everything using fabric scraps, including the lace/trim
To create the blue tubing silhouette this was a very tedious process
I used vinyl tubing, dyed it using synthetic dye then inserted wired hangers inside the tubes to bend In order for it to hold shape. Used connectors that go to an irrigation system, hot glued to seal in place
Spats for the boots were made using an old t-shirt with lace on top

“Decaying Nurse”
Reconstructed an old nightgown to be attached with a bell shaped crinoline cage. Wanted it sickly, odd, unsettling.

This is what I pictured my nurses looked like when I was younger. Terrified to see the doctor, even had several nurses pin me down from trying to skip out on routine check ups
Nightgown was scalped, snatched up the sides, cut it up for beautiful wings
Nurse symbol was made from scrap fabrics. Layered lace on top, sewed and torched top layer to reveal the red
Easiest part was making the “crinoline cage”
I built from wired hangers and vinyl tubing. Connected to t-shape connectors. With lots of fabric hot glued underneath/sewn, cut for more layering
Drilled holes in additional areas to create the raised flaps
Gloves were a similar process to the crinoline
Dyed tubes with synthetic red dye, hot glued lace on top then burned to make it look like it was embedded

This day @big_nakie and I were laughing hysterically, was my first day skating after a month and a half recovery from my recent gender affirming care surgery
Didn’t know if I was capable of skating, let alone an over rail first day back. I was slowly rebuilding the courage/finding my way on the board again ❤️
