It’s with an incredibly heavy heart that I share the heartbreaking news of Flora’s sudden passing. Flora wasn’t just Maizy’s partner—she was a beloved member of our Binski’s family and a bright light in our community. Her warmth, strength, and kindness left an unforgettable mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Just a short while ago, we came together at Binski’s on my birthday to raise funds to support Flora. It was a night full of love and community, a beautiful reminder of how deeply Flora and Maizy are loved by so many. I’m grateful we could celebrate her life and show her how much she meant to us, but none of us could have prepared for this loss.
To Maizy: My heart breaks for you. Please know that you have a family here at Binski’s, and we are standing with you in your grief. Flora’s memory will always live on through the love she shared and the countless lives she touched.
For those who feel moved to help, we’ll be organizing ways to honor Flora’s memory and support Maizy during this time. I’ll share updates soon—this community has always shown up for each other, and I know we will do it again.
Take care of yourselves and each other, and hold your loved ones close. Rest easy, Flora—you will be so deeply missed.

In 2018, I very suddenly lost my first cat, Makhno. I still to this day hear what a great cat he was. When he passed, I was given his ashes very unceremoniously in an unmarked white tin can.
Fast forward to 2024, I reached out to Jessica at @overbrookclay and had an urn commissioned for Makhno. Jessica has been rediculously communicative throughout the entire process and even wrote a nice letter when I came to pick up the urn. If you need any pieces made, please hit her up!
